Lemon has citric acid elements which not only gives vitamin C but also fights with tough odors. Divide the lemon into two equal pieces and rub it through the board. It will not only keep the scent away but also sanitize the cutting board.

Cleaning with Salt and Baking Soda

If you want to clean your large cutting board deep, make a paste with one tablespoon of baking soda, salt, and water. Now, rinse thoroughly with hot water. If you want to see your substantial cutting board brightening, rub salt on the board with a piece of cloth after cleaning it with soap and water. You can also use lemon juice and salt paste to deep clean the cutting board.

Once you cleaned the cutting board, it is time to dry it up. You dry it with the sun, or you can air dry. Now, you can polish the board with cutting board oil or wax. But do not use other organic oils to rub it as it will stink, spoil, and turn rancid.
